Privacy Policy

The short version

This app has no account, no login and no server. Your projects, photos, videos, drawings and reports are stored on your device and nowhere else. The developer cannot see them, and receives no information about you or your use of the app.

What is stored, and where

Everything you create stays in the app’s own storage on your device: photos and videos, the projects and templates you build, drawings and the pins on them, exported reports, and the history the app keeps of what happened to each file.

If you back up your device — to iCloud or to a computer — that backup includes the app’s data, in the same way as any other app. That backup is covered by Apple’s terms, not by this policy.

Deleting the app deletes everything in it. There is no copy anywhere else.

What leaves your device

Three features look something up while you use them. Each one sends a position to Apple, and only a position:

• Weather — to fill the weather field, when you use it.
• Address — to turn a position into a street address.
• Map images — to draw the small map in a title block or a report.

These are Apple services. What Apple does with a request is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy. None of them goes to the developer, and none of them carries your photos, your projects or anything you have written.

If you buy a subscription, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple. The developer never sees your name, your card or your address.

The app works offline. If there is no connection, these three fields are simply left empty and everything else carries on.

What the app never does

• No analytics, no usage tracking, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party code of any kind.
• No profile of you, and no data sold or shared with anyone.
• No access to your contacts, your calendar, your health data or your files.

Permissions

• Camera — to take photos and videos. Only while you are in the app.
• Microphone — to record sound with a video.
• Location, while you are using the app — to record where a photo was taken, and to show it as an address and a map. Never in the background.
• Saving to your photo library — only when you export, and only to add. The app cannot read your photo library. When you import, you pick the photos in Apple’s own picker and only those photos are handed to the app.

Every one of these is optional. If you turn one down, the app keeps working; the fields that depend on it stay empty.

Your originals are never altered

When a photo or video enters the app, the original file is stored untouched and a fingerprint (a SHA-256 checksum) is calculated so it can be shown later that the file has not changed. Title blocks, crops and notes are stored separately and applied when a copy is made. The original is never overwritten and its date and position are never rewritten. The fingerprint is a record kept on your device; it is not sent anywhere.

Deleting

Anything you delete goes to Trash and is kept for 30 days, so it can be brought back. After that it is deleted permanently. You can empty the Trash yourself at any time.

Children

The app is a work tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
